Account Management
Hi there burke-mays,
Thanks for joining the discussion. Choosing an accounting software for your business is a big decision. QuickBooks Desktop is a robust program that takes the protection of your sensitive data seriously, but I hear you and know that it might not be the right fit for your business.
The password security feature is in place to protect your sensitive data such as:
- Employee Social Insurance Number
- Company CRA Business Number
- Company Bank Details (Routing Number, Account Number)
- Company Credit Card Acct. Number
- Fixed Assets Account Number
- Other Assets Account Number
- Other Current Assets Account Number
- Loan/Other Current Liability Account Number
- Long Term Liability Account Number
- Supplier CRA Business Number
- Supplier Account No.
- Employee's Birth Date (QuickBooks 2018 versions only)
If you're unsatisfied with the solution QuickBooks Desktop has put in place to protect this information, I encourage you to submit Feedback through the Help menu with alternative solutions that would work for your business. Our product development team works hard to make sure that our products fit your needs, and your feedback directly impacts the changes and improvements that are made.
We'll support whatever decision you feel is best for your business, but we'll be sad to see you go!
