About QB Community

I understand how important it is to move your company from a US QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to a Global QuickBooks Online (QBO), Kruithof.

As Fiat Lux_Asia said, the option to disable the location-based feature is unavailable. As a workaround, you can set up a custom tax rate manually. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to Taxes, then Sales tax.
  2. Click Sales tax settings.
  3. Select Add Rate, in the Custom Rates section.
  4. Click  Single or Combined.
  5. Enter the Name of the custom rate. If you're adding a combined rate, enter a nickname for each rate into a single custom rate.
  6. Select the Agency you file payments to. If adding a combined rate, select the agency for each rate you need to group as one custom rate.
  7. Enter the Rate, then click Save.

Additionally, you can look for a third-party application that allows you to convert your data from the QBO US version to the QBO Global version.

Otherwise, you can subscribe to a QBO Global account and then export and import the file. Once done, you can proceed to cancel your existing one. Be sure to review any subscription details or billing information before canceling.

Keep your post coming if you need more assistance with moving your company file in QBO. I'm always here to help. Have a great day!
