How can i move my company from a US QBO account to a Global QBO
I'm using QBO USA version for years. but currently they are adding a new feature to add the correct Sales Tax based on the address of the company.
This is an issue since my company is located in the caribbean which is not in the US.
Am I forced to move to a Global version? If so how can i do that without losing my historical data?
Can i turn of the address check in the QBO US version?

As I know, you cannot disable the Location Based feature and this is annoying even for US based companies. The only workaround at this time is to set the custom rate manually
You can buy a 3rd party service to convert your data from QBO US version to QBO Global version. I would recommend these points:
1. Consider to only convert your current fiscal year to QBO Global version to lower your conversion cost.
2. Convert the rest of data to QB Desktop. You can use the trial version of QB Desktop for good to access your historical data.

I understand how important it is to move your company from a US QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to a Global QuickBooks Online (QBO), Kruithof.
As Fiat Lux_Asia said, the option to disable the location-based feature is unavailable. As a workaround, you can set up a custom tax rate manually. I'll show you how:
- Go to Taxes, then Sales tax.
- Click Sales tax settings.
- Select Add Rate, in the Custom Rates section.
- Click Single or Combined.
- Enter the Name of the custom rate. If you're adding a combined rate, enter a nickname for each rate into a single custom rate.
- Select the Agency you file payments to. If adding a combined rate, select the agency for each rate you need to group as one custom rate.
- Enter the Rate, then click Save.
Additionally, you can look for a third-party application that allows you to convert your data from the QBO US version to the QBO Global version.
Otherwise, you can subscribe to a QBO Global account and then export and import the file. Once done, you can proceed to cancel your existing one. Be sure to review any subscription details or billing information before canceling.
Keep your post coming if you need more assistance with moving your company file in QBO. I'm always here to help. Have a great day!
