Problem reconciling Bank

Hi,

when I tried to reconcile the bank I got a message saying that my balance was out by €597.96 (Please see Attached) but when I clicked on "we can help you fix it", I get a message saying that "there are no transactions showing for this account in this time period,  if you're filtering transactions they may be hiding"

How do I fix this problem?

Best Regards,

Noel

Problem reconciling Bank

Good day, Noel. I appreciate all the details you've shared about your concern with the beginning balance.

This error message will show up if there are changes made to transactions that are already reconciled. For instance, if someone edited, deleted, moved, or unreconciled them. Doing so would change the ending balance of the previous reconciliation, thereby affecting the beginning balance of the subsequent one.

There are also a couple of steps that we recommend to resolve the issue.

You can start by reviewing the opening balanceIt's the starting point for accounts in QuickBooks. If it’s incorrect, it affects all future reconciliations.

Next, if your account is connected to online banking, make sure to match and categorise all of your downloaded transactions before reconciling to ensure the correct beginning balance.

Depending on what's causing the error, you need to make the necessary adjustments to remove the discrepancy.
