Is there a way to create an account number for customers entered in QB? I am new to QB and on the Plus package. Thank you!

Welcome and thank you for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO), @info-sunstateco2.

I can share some information about creating an account number and entering them into your QBO account.

You can manually create this account number and enter this in the Notes section of your Customer Details in your QBO Plus account. 

Here's how:

1. Click on the Sales menu at the left pane, then Customers.
2. On the Customers tab, choose the customer that you want to edit.
3. Go to the Customer Details tab, then select Edit in the upper left.
4. Add the account number in the Notes section and click on Save once you're done.

If you're going to upgrade your subscription to QuickBooks Online Advanced, you can use or create a custom field for this account number. Refer to this article for more information: Create and edit custom fields in QuickBooks Online Advanced.

I knew about the notes tab, but I wasn't sure if there was a dedicated field for this.  I also see there is a custom fields option if I upgrade.  After viewing some videos, it looks like there is an account number field in the customer section of the desktop version.  I appreciate you responding!  Thank you!
