How do i stop receiving copies of invoices? I dont want them to be marked as seen by myself by accidently opening them. I want to make sure that the "seen" status is only for the customer

Hello, @mauricioclassic! We appreciate you joining the thread. We'll share insights to help prevent QuickBooks Online (QBO) from sending you a copy of your invoices whenever you send them to your customers.

 

QuickBooks Online allows you to use the Email me a copy option to receive a copy of all emailed invoices. To avoid receiving a copy of the sent entries, uncheck the corresponding option in the Messages section. This way, changes will apply to your previous and future invoice transactions inside the program. We'll write down the steps to get you going:

 

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner.
  3. Choose Account and Settings.
  4. Select the Sales tab and go to the Messages section.
  5. Ensure to put uncheck or remove the checkmark on the Email me a copy at (email address) box.
  6. Click Save and Done.

That option is already unchecked, that is why i don't know why I keep receiving invoices.

Since you've confirmed your Email me a copy option is turned off already, but you're still receiving copies of invoices you email to customers, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

 

They can be reached while you're signed in.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Use the Help (?) icon.


     
  2. Click Contact Us.


     
  3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.


     
  4. Select Start messaging or Get a call.

 

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
