That didn't work for me. Just got same message on much larger window....

God forbid Intuit would actually test something before releasing it.

I did figure out that the old shipping version built into QB Desktop was working today, just used it to create a shipment.

I have now called QB about this twice.

The first time, they told me I had to disconnect the old shipping manager. So, that is no longer set up and working.

Now, I'm still getting that error about "Access Denied." And I just spoke with Anna from support, and she told me to call UPS.

So, is there an actual solution to this Access Denied error?

I am totally confused by what is going on.  Quickbooks stopped functioning with ups yesterday, i was on the phone with quickbooks for 2 hours, before they told me that their new software was not functional yet.  About an hour later ups started working again.  Feel like i am playing russian roulette, does anyone know when this new version of ship manager will be fixed?

I am totally confused by what is going on.  Our Ups stopped working yesterday and i was on the phone with quickbooks for two hours, before they finally admitted that the new program was not working yet and we were SOL.  However, Ups started working again about an hour later and has worked all day today.  I feel like i am playing russian roulette.

Does anyone know when the new system will be up and running ?

The new ship manager program doesn't have enough options like billing our customers UPS account for shipping plus it's pretty slow. Unfortuneatly not using it has created an issue with how we used to process our orders using their Sales Fullfillment feature. It's now just garbage. After spending all afternoon and all this morning trying to figure out if the new shipping program would ever get released or not with the fixes, i found, installed ShipRush and we're using a webconnector to interface between the two.  Again, it's going to bypass the sale fullfillment but i'm honesty thinking it's going to improve our process beyond what Quickbooks was able to do. The original shipping model they used to use was built by Shiprush. How QB rolled out the new one was not good.

Did you know that there are other options available for QuickBooks shipping integration?  We use StarShip and were able to apply UPS digital connections funds toward our subscription, so it pays for itself.

the new shipping manager for QB is horrible. I've updated our office network, and as a result, we lost our UPS integration with the old ship manager. We are now forced to use the new ship manager for UPS, and is the worst. Intuit really needs to go back to the old version, or provide a third party plug-in option. FedEx and USPS currently work perfectly fine.

We all agree. Unfortunately Intuit does not care. They treat us like dogs, but greedily take more money from us every year.

Thanks for joining the Community and getting involved with this thread, SaeedA.

I can certainly understand how an ability to switch to the older version or use a third-party plug-in could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feedback while using QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, then Send Feedback Online.
  2. Choose Product Suggestion.
  3. Enter your feedback suggestion.
  4. Select Send Feedback.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing our Product Updates page.

I've also included a detailed resource about working with Shipping Manager which may come in handy moving forward: Get Started with the new Shipping Manager

If there's any questions, I'm just a post away. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

@ZackE Can you please explain the "Other" cost shown in the attached screen grab?

This screen grab is the cost estimate displayed by the new shipping manager for a UPS Ground package. The "Postage" and "Insurance" fields have obvious meanings. Those costs also are identical to what I see in the UPS WorldShip application. The "Other" cost however has me puzzled.

Let me route you to our representatives to assist you in verifying your query, TimL.

Since we're unable to provide you with detailed information on how these data are calculated specifically for a UPS Ground Package, I'd suggest reaching out to our Live Expert Team. They can help you address and provide you with a comprehensive breakdown of the costs.

To do this:

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop account, go to Help and select QuickBooks Help/Contact Us.
  2. Choose Contact Us and enter a brief description. Then, Continue.
  3. Sign in to your Intuit account, choose Continue, and then Continue with my account.
  4. We'll email you a single-use code. Enter your code and select Continue.
  5. Then, select to Chat with us or Have us call you

I'll keep an eye on this thread for any further questions.

@FateCandylaneT I just followed your instructions and attempted to request a chat session..... A window pops up that says, "Connecting you to an Expert". Then it lands on a page that says, "Something went wrong. Please try again". I retried it several times and got the same result.
