Why am I getting a tax code error when I'm editing an invoice and try to save it? I used to be able to do that all the time and it seems after an update this started.

I have all the tax codes setup for the items and I've also tried to select a default tax code in the customer setup but all the same.

As a first troubleshooting step, try refreshing your browser or signing out of your account and logging back in.

  1. Select the (?) Help icon located in the upper-right corner of your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click on the Assistant tab to receive support from the QB assistant, or select the Search tab to type your question and access Help articles.
