How come the auto match in the banking does not detect receipts anymore. I have to post the receipt for it to match. It used to detect unposted receipts.

Hello there, @jblai011. QuickBooks Online (QBO) reads the receipts, extracts information, and automatically matches them to transactions. However, QuickBooks currently won't automatically match transactions or receipts if a transaction doesn’t formally exist in QuickBooks yet.

Please know that the auto-detection of matches on the Bank Transactions page is designed to identify transactions that have been entered into the system and compare them with the bank feed to suggest matches.

Once you upload, scan, or forward the receipts in QuickBooks, they’ll show up in the For Review tab where you can review, edit, and match transactions. The Receipts tab is where you can match your expense receipts and bills all in one place.

You can check out these articles for more details about managing receipts and auto-matching in QuickBooks:

If your transactions are categorized and ready, refer to this article to reconcile accounts and avoid discrepancies: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

You can always get back to me here in the forum if you have follow-up questions about matching transactions in QBO. We're always here to help.
