Hi there SP-1,
When you process the employee's pay run, you can enter the hours you want to pay in the Long Service Leave category. The same goes for the employee's regular earning hours. Here's how:
- Click on the Payroll tab.
- Click on New Pay Run.
- Select a Pay schedule, pay period end date and the pay date.
- Click on Create, click the employee name to view Earnings section.
- Click on Actions, and choose Take leave.
- Under Leave taken choose Long Service Leave and enter the hours.
- Locate also the default pay category and you can edit the hours worked.
- Click on Save and review the figures.
- Click on Finalise pay run when ready.
If you needed to check the leave category set up. Here's how:
- Click on the Payroll tab and choose Payroll Settings.
- Click on Leave Categories.
- Click on the leave category name.
- Check the Payment set up selected as this will be the basis of how your leave category is calculated on the pay run.
To check the rate entered for the leave category:
- Click on the Payroll Settings.
- Click on Pay Categories.
- Select Long Service Leave.
- Check the rate and hours set up.
Once done, go back to the pay run and click on Actions and click on Recalculate.
