Hi there, Austin.
I created a rule that splits the amount with cents and I was able to save it. Can you tell us if there's an error message when you tried it?
We just want to make sure that we are giving you the right steps and information to sort this out.
Please add a reply below to share more details. We look forward to it.
Hi Jenop2, thank you for your response.
While I'm in the bank rule and try to enter the cents i.e. when I click on the . (dot) the entire amount field turns blank. For example, I want to enter $605.27. So the minute I type the 'dot', the $605 disappears and the field becomes blank. There is no error displayed. The rule however, will save if I enter whole dollars (which is not ideal). This is the first time I'm encountering this problem. I have set up many rules before with splits and with dollars and cents. I'm not sure what's going on at the moment. I even tried doing it in different browsers, but it still didn't work.
I appreciate the additional details and for sharing the steps that you tried, Austin.
Unexpected results when doing something in QBO are usually caused by cache or other browser issues. However, you mentioned that it's still happening even if you tried logging in using a different browser.
It looks like we need to take a closer look at this to determine why you're unable to enter cents when setting up bank rules. Having said that, I would recommend reaching out to our support for QBO. They have additional tools such as screen-sharing capabilities to investigate this further and make sure you you can enter cents when making rules.
