why does security alert keep popping when logging in?

A security alert popping up when you're logging into QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is a common security measure designed to protect your account from unauthorised access, Fritz.

This can be triggered by a number of other security-related factors, such as browser security settings. Let’s ensure we add *.intuit.com as a trusted site for the browser to recognise that it is safe and should not be blocked.

If you’re logging in from a location or device that the system doesn’t recognise, it may trigger an alert. You’ll be asked to verify your identity through a security code sent to your email or phone number to stop the security alert. From there, the system will recognize your new device or location for future logins.

Once you log in to your QBSE account, please use the correct credentials. Repeatedly entering the wrong password or user ID can flag your account, leading to a security alert.

If the same thing happens, we can disable browser extensions. Ad blockers, anti-virus extensions, and other browser add-ons can sometimes interfere with QuickBooks functionality and cause security pop-ups. You may want to coordinate with your local IT support to assist you with this task.
