You can set up default accounts in your payroll chart of accounts and this is where your payroll journals will be posted to after finalising a pay run. Let me guide you how to check your default accounts.
- Click on the Payroll tab.
- Click on Payroll settings.
- Click on Chart of Accounts.
- Click on Default accounts.
- Locate the liability account you wanted to changed and select from the option.
- If the liability account is not showing, click on the Import Accounts button at the top.
- Under Import column, select the account you wanted to show in your payroll liability accounts.
- Click on Save Accounts List.
- Go back to Default Accounts and check options in the liability account.
- Click on Save.
