Getting the Most out of QuickBooks
With year end around the corner, there’s no better time to review your QuickBooks Time account and ensure that everything is accurate and up to date. Read on to learn how you can review your account and close out the year feeling organized and prepared.

Review Your Company Settings
If you use QuickBooks Time with a QuickBooks Online integration, your company settings can be managed via your QuickBooks Online account. You can learn more about how this integration setup works here.
Otherwise, you can review and manage your primary QuickBooks Time company settings by following the steps below.
- Open Company Settings on the left hand navigation bar
- Select and review the following settings for accuracy
- Pay Schedule
- Overtime
- Time Options
- Time Off
Once you have reviewed your company settings and chosen to Save any applicable changes, you can close this window.
Manage Your Team
We know that sometimes your team will change throughout the year, as will your managers and groups, so year end is a prime opportunity to ensure that your current team members and group assignments are accurate. To do this, simply navigate to the My Team tab on your left navigation bar and archive any team members who don’t need to actively track time. Once your active team members look good, you can click the Groups and Managers option and make any edits needed.

Run Reports
While most payroll integrations will provide you with a great variety of year end reporting options, you can also run reports directly from your QuickBooks Time account. You can run reports for Projects, Job Costing, Logging and Auditing, and more by choosing the Reports option on the left navigation menu, and then selecting from the available options.

QuickBooks Workforce Mobile App
If you aren't already utilizing the QuickBooks Workforce Mobile app, now is a fantastic time to get up and running with that so you and your team can manage time on the go. The QuickBooks Workforce Mobile app allows QuickBooks Time users to track their time and manage time entries, and lets QuickBooks Workforce employees view their payroll history directly from their mobile phones.
