There is automatic journal entries done in our accounts by a user "System Administration". These a wrong journal entries. How to disable it and why this happens ?

I'll be happy to provide some information to stop the system from automatically creating a journal entry in your QuickBooks Online account.

 

It happens when you create a recurring transaction like a recurring journal entry template. A System Administration event is recorded in the audit log whenever QuickBooks automatically adds a transaction instance to your books.

 

You can stop this by deleting the recurring template. Follow the steps below.

 

  1. Click the Gear icon on the top menu.
  2. Select Recurring Transactions.
  3. Find the recurring template (Journal Entry), click the Edit drop-down button and choose Delete.
  4. Click Yes to confirm.

 

Once done, you can recreate a new one with the correct information anytime when you need to.
