Journal entry not included in vat return

Hi there, rob.

I have some knowledge of recording a VAT return. You'll want to delete the journal entry you made. Then, from the Sales Tax Center, record your VAT payment.

To delete:

  1. Go to +New, then select Journal entry.
  2. Tick the clock icon at the top left of your screen (see the image).
  3. Scroll down and locate your VAT journal entry. You can also tap the View More link. Then, open the transaction.
  4. Click More towards the bottom. Hit Delete.

After you've deleted the journal entry, go to the Sales Tax Center and make your tax payment there. However, if you manually record your taxes, I recommend consulting with your accountant. That way, you're properly recording it in QuickBooks.

To record your tax payments:

  1. Go to Taxes.
  2. Select VAT.
  3. Choose the vat return, then click Record payment.
