Is there a way to generate balance report of cash and banks as of specific date in original currency?

Trial balance is in functional currency. Can we show the amount in original currency as well as exchange rate in case of currency revaluation?

Is there a way to generate balance report of cash and banks as of specific date in original currency?

Financial reports are always presented in the home currency, Carl. We can only include or filter the correct currency and its exchange rate once we run a transaction report.

For your first concern, yes we can generate a balance report that will show the specific date and original currency. I'll walk you through the process:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Search for Balance Sheet and select it.
  3. Set the reporting period to the specific date you desire.

  4. Once done, click Run Report.

Regarding your second concern, the trial balance is a financial report that does not display both the home currency and foreign currency simultaneously. As a workaround, we can run a transaction report, such as the Transaction Detail by Account to include the original currency and the exchange rate of the foreign currency.

Here's how:

  1. Go back to the Reports menu and look for the Transaction Detail by Account report.
  2. Set the reporting period to the specific date you desire.
  3. Click on the Columns field, and select the Foreign amount and Exchange rate checkboxes.

  4. Once done, you can save the report by clicking on the Save As button.

I'm including the articles below to learn more about how multi-currency works in the program:
