if general ledger couldn't export what can i do? If data is too large

You can set your reporting period strategically to help you manage the volume of data you export and optimize the performance, Telmen. I'll discuss some details about this.

Desktop Excel has a file size limit that can affect performance and functionality. To enhance both usability and performance in your reporting and analysis processes in Excel, consider exporting data in halves or thirds based on the timeframe and scope you are working with.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Search for and select the report you want to export.
  3. Run reports for a specific date range using the Report period dropdown.

  4. Once done you can click on Save customisation.
  5. If the report opens in:
    • Classic view: Select the Export icon, then click Export to Excel.
    • New enhanced experience: Press Export/Print, then select Export to Excel.
  6. Save the file somewhere you can easily find, like your Downloads folder or your desktop.

If you would like to tailor the display of your reports moving forward, consider creating custom reports to focus on the data that matters most to you.
