Thanks for reaching out to the Community for assistance. I’m happy to share some information to get these duplicate entries settled.
In QuickBooks Online, you can delete duplicate journal entries. This way, it will not mess up your entries. Let me walk you through it:
1. On the left pane, go to Accounting.
2. Select the Chart of Accounts.
3. Find the account where the journal entries are located and click View register.
4. Look for the duplicate journal entry in the account register and select it to expand the view.
5. Click the Delete option and select Yes to confirm
Moreover, see this article about deleting a journal entry in QuickBooks Online. This will also guide you on how to reverse them.
Furthermore, I highly recommend consulting your accountant to help you further regarding a workaround that includes a journal entry. This way, we can ensure the accuracy of your accounts after deleting the duplicates.
You'll want to reconcile your account to maintain the state of your company. To practice this, please take a look at these articles for more insights:
Drop me a Reply if you have other concerns about the journal entry. I'd be glad to assist you. Have a great day.
