You’re correct. A Profit & Loss in cash basis report will only recognize revenues and expenses at the time cash is received or paid out.
Cached data might be the reason behind this. Sometimes they become outdated or corrupted, leading to unusual behavior that affects system functionalities. Let’s get this resolved by performing some troubleshooting steps.
First, open your QuickBooks account in a private or incognito window for testing. You can use these shortcuts keys below for quick navigation:
Once logged in, try to run your Profit & Loss report on the same basis. If the unpaid invoice won’t show up, get back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Doing this helps the program to run better. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative except for Internet Explorer.
You can also generate a Profit and Loss Comparison report in QuickBooks in case you want to compare your income and expenses for different periods. Then, you can use the memorise feature to help you access the information quickly without going through the customization process again.
Fill me in if you have any other questions or concerns besides your report. I’d be glad to assist you further. Have a good day and always take care!
