Can I create a report in QBO like the one I use in desktop?

Can I create a report in QBO like the one I use in desktop? it is a report with I choose a class out of many that includes all types of transactions sales receipts, checks, journal entries, deposits and others that were done in many bank accounts and it is arranged in the order of the date with the actual balance of the class after every transaction so if the manager asks me how much money did this person have on a specific date i take one look and I can tell. or if he asks how much money does, he have today i can tell and also if the person has given postdated checks, it will show the later date with the balance Thank you so much

Yes, you can, @atrbsg.

You can run the Transaction Detail by Account report and modify it to show the data you need. I'll be glad to walk you through the steps.

Here's how:

  1. Ensure to enable the class feature in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Then go to the Reports menu.
  3. Type in and enter Transaction Detail by Account in the search field.
  4. Select Customise and adjust the date range under the Report period field.
  5. Click the Rows/Columns section and select the Date, Transaction Type, Class, Amount, Balance, Account, and Open Balance boxes. 2.PNG
  6. Hover to the Filter section and select the Transaction Type and Class boxes.
  7. Click the drop-down menu under the Transaction Type menu and select Sales Receipts, Checks, Journal Entries, and Deposits boxes. 2.PNG
  8. Make some necessary adjustments and click Run report.

Let me also share this article that can guide you on how to save the current settings of your report and export it outside QBO: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.
