Hi Mhando, I’d like to share a few common reasons why you might not have received the verification code on your phone while adding a company admin.

 

Here are a few things you can double-check:

 

  • Ensure the phone number associated with your account is accurate. QuickBooks may display the last 4 digits to help you confirm this.
  • Make sure your phone can receive SMS and has a stable reception. Issues like roaming, poor network signal, international travel, or temporary network congestion can cause delays or block messages.
  • Some mobile carriers disable 5-digit short-code messages by default, even if you can receive regular texts. Contact your carrier to confirm if short-code messaging is enabled and request activation if necessary.
  • Check if your phone is in "Do Not Disturb" or airplane mode, as these settings might prevent SMS delivery.
