Hello - does anyone know how to insert a SERVICE DATE into a JOURNAL ENTRY. Right now we we can only do it on Invoices and Sales Receipts, but would like it on journals.

Hello - does anyone know how to insert a SERVICE DATE into a JOURNAL ENTRY. Right now we we can only do it on Invoices and Sales Receipts, but would like it on journals.

I can see how great and helpful it would be to add a service date to journal entries, Watamu.

It makes perfect sense to them, like invoices or sales receipts, and I appreciate you sharing those suggestions. However, a journal entry's primary purpose is to move funds between accounts to ensure your books are balanced. It doesn't have a function to record a specific service date.

Since that feature isn't currently available, we can submit a suggestion directly to our product development team. They regularly review user requests to improve the program.

Here’s how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Profile column, select Feedback.
  3. Enter your suggestion, then click Next.
