how do I import and use my account list

I'm here to help you import your lists (suppliers, customers, inventory, and chart of accounts) into QuickBooks Online (QBO), Augusto. This way, you can avoid setting up each item individually.

To start, you can export the report list you need to Excel. This may include your Account List, Customer Contact List, Supplier Contact List, or Product/Service List report. You can also customize the list report's columns according to your requirements.

Once you've exported and saved your reports, you can import them to QBO. I'd be glad to navigate through this process.

  1. In your QBO account, click the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Under TOOLS, select Import data.
  3. Choose the list you want to import.
  4. Click Browse to upload the file, select the file, and then click Open.
  5. Once done, select Next to proceed to Step 2 and complete the upload.

I'm also sharing this guide for more detailed inputs: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online.

Once you have imported your account list, you can utilize these accounts in your day-to-day transactions, such as recording sales, tracking expenses, and generating financial reports.

In case you require additional guidance when reviewing your accounts in the future, you can start reconciling them to make sure they always match your bank and credit card statements.

I'm all ears to any additional queries you may have when importing accounting data in QuickBooks. Feel free to leave a Reply in the comments below. Take care and have a good one!
