Hi, the bank balance is out of sync and updating the balance won't solve it. Is there a way to fix this?

I want to fix this issue right away, useryuta. So you can manage and classify your bank transactions again in QuickBooks Online without a moment's delay. 

 

Manually updating the bank in QuickBooks is one of the first troubleshooting steps to perform. I appreciate you for doing this before posting here in the Community. 

 

Here are some things you can check to ensure the bank balance will sync in QuickBooks without any delay:

 

  1. Review your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  2. Look for any display issues as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from updating the bank balance.
  3. Check your bank's website for any notifications about new security requirements.

 

Once done and the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They can review your account in a safe place and provide other troubleshooting steps. To reach them, check out this link: QuickBooks Online Support.

 

As a workaround, I'd recommend importing the bank transactions manually. This way, you can categorise and reconcile the account regularly. 

 

Follow the steps below: 

  1. Sign in to your bank website and follow the instructions to download your transactions as a comma-separated value (CSV) file.
  2. Go to the Banking tab on the left side.
  3. Click the Link account drop-down and choose Upload from the file.
  4. Tap Browse and pick the data.

       5. Review all the fields, then tap Next.

       6. Click Let's go to complete the process.
