Currently, an option or ability to hide the sub-accounts like what you did in the custom report is unavailable. The system is designed to show detailed information about the main accounts and sub-accounts.
As a workaround, you can download the report as a PDF. Once you have a copy, you can search for a third-party app to help you remove unnecessary information."
I also posted the question on the us community and it was their response. A different browser does not fix the issue, this solution that you are giving is for the print preview error.
I used both Chrome and Firefox non of them work.
I have suggested it to Quickbooks as feedback, according to them it is not on their roadmap
