I appreciate you for sharing your workaround on how you're able to show project names on individual invoices. However, the option to show project names on statements is not yet available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

We'll be sure to take note of this product feature opportunities for future enhancements. Once we receive some progress or enhancement about this feature, I'll make sure to inform you by updating this thread.

In the meantime, you may want to look for a third party applications that can help customize statements in QBO: https://apps.intuit.com.
