I hear your sentiments, @BHunt1. I'm here to share how these fraud calls from parties claiming to be affiliated with Intuit can be prevented.

I want to inform you that Intuit will only initiate contact if you request a call back from our support about an issue in QuickBooks. Also, outbound calls from a QuickBooks representative should not ask for any personal information.

Moreover, please don't hesitate to report any suspicious calls from parties claiming to be from Intuit. You can visit our Online Security Center to report the incident.

Here's how:

  1. Go to this link: https://security.intuit.com/contact-us.
  2. Look for Report technical support scams.
  3. Click Report tech support scams.

You can also report any suspicious emails and fraudulent acts by clicking the Report a fake email (or phishing email) option.

Since the Community is a peer-to-peer forum, it would be best to reach out to our QuickBooks Desktop Support to have this investigated. Agents have the necessary tools to check your account in a secure environment.

In addition, I'd recommend browsing this article for you to easily recognize official Intuit correspondence and websites: Identify Suspicious Activity, Phishing Scams, and Potential Fraud.

In case you have any other QuickBooks concerns in the future, you may check out our self-help articles: Help articles for QuickBooks.

Let me know if you need anything else or if you have additional QuickBooks concerns. I'm always here to help.
