No real surprise.  Scams like this will be around for a LONG time.  

Only real way to get rid of it is to get a LOT of people to start hounding their Congress Critters!  The phone companies have the ability to stop the calls, but right now if they do they'd probably be sued for impeding business.  It's not up to them to say what business can make phone calls and which cannot.  You'd think they could, but then if you really think about it you get how the scammers could sue and make more money.

So until there are some hard Consumer laws to let us Auto Ignore those kind of calls, we're just going to keep seeing them.
