I just found out that ProFile will begin limiting access to previous 12 years only and that once I install the most recent update, I won't be able to access the other years' files.

I would like to know if there is going to be ANY way of accessing those 12 years + files, or they will be, for all intents and purposes, 'gone'?

Whereas it's not possible to file or amend tax returns which are over 10 years old, each year I have a number of clients who ask me to access their tax files which are over 20 years old. Even recently I wrote letters regarding two of my clients, in which I detailed their employment/self employment history for well over 12 years. I believe that those letters were required by their insurance companies. 

Therefore, I am really disappointed with this implementation. I believe that there SHOULD  be a way of accessing files older than 12 years, even if it takes longer and requires more work.
