Before doing so, have you followed the troubleshooting suggestions mentioned by my colleague JamaicaA? If yes, but still can't update your account, let's start by checking any pending Windows updates. Update windows to prevent and fix install errors.

 

Next, turn off any antivirus or firewall software temporarily. Doing so will stop these programs from blocking the update. Once it's disabled, update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. 

 

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our live support team to help you further update your account, they have the necessary tools and knowledge to help you effectively.

 

Here's how to reach them:

 

  1. Click the Help menu.
  2. Proceed to the Assistant tab.
  3. Type in "contact support" in the chat box and press Enter.
  4. Select QuickBooks Online Support, then click Contact us.
  5. Click Ask about something else, then enter your concern.
  6. Choose between Have us call you or Chat.
