EOFY and Reconciliation

Let me help you reconcile your account smoothly, @jajumbora-outloo.

There's a good chance that the transactions were edited. Thus, it shows in your reconciliation. You can view your Audit log to verify this. There, you'll be able to check who made some changes to your books.

To get around this issue, you'll want to unreconciled your account or invite your accountant and let them undo it for you. They have the tools to undo the reconciliation at once.

If you wish to undo the reconciliation manually, you can refer to these steps:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to undo then select the View register link,
  4. Select the transaction you want to unreconcile to expand the view.
  5. Review the check column. If the transaction is reconciled, you’ll see an “R.”
  6. Select the checkbox until the box is blank. This removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
  7. Then click Save to close the account register.

You can also see this link for more details: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.

I'd also recommend working with your accountant for further guidance to ensure the accuracy of your account.

Once done, you can now seamlessly redo the reconciliation process again. In case you run into some issue reconciling your account, you can utilize this link on how to handle the situation smoothly: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.
