Owner Draw - ACH
Is there a way to pay an owner through ACH for an owners draw?
Can ACH be iniatited from within Quickbooks? If so, how do we do that? We are using the most current version of QB Enterprise.
Or is there another way we should do this? We use Chase as our bank.

Yes, you can pay an owner through ACH for an owner's draw, Chris.
You can easily pay bill directly from QuickBooks using your bank account, debit card, or credit card and choose ACH transfer for your vendors to receive their payments.
If you don't have one yet, create an Owner's Equity account so you can pay an owner's draw. Make sure to choose Equity or Owners Equity as the type of account. Once done, you can use Pay bills with Bill Pay service powered by Melio.
To access Bill Pay and manage payments, follow these steps:
To enter a bill
- From your homepage or the Vendors menu, choose Enter Bills.
- Select Schedule Online Payment to set up the bill.

Payments
Be aware that, if you set up your QB Payments account around September 2023 or later, they will charge you a 1% on ACH payments, which is totally and completely outrageous, considering ACH is the most cost effective way for banks to send money. If you had your account prior to September 2023, there's a $10 or $15 cap (can't remember which) which isn't too bad. Keep in mind, 3rd-party payment platforms like Bill.com and Melio charge a flat $0.50 per ACH regardless of amount. I have no affiliation with them. I just hate to see customers being gouged.
