When is Payroll going to work in the Windows 10 App? Updated to Ver 4.1.1 and it is still not working. When am I going to be able to block 3rd party cookies in browser?

Hi sedge,
There is currently a known issue with the Employees page not displaying properly in the Desktop App, even after downloading the latest version. We are currently working to get a fix pushed out by the next update, and we will communicate any updates along the way via this page: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-au/help-articles/why-is-the-payroll-page-showing-cook....
For now, I recommend accessing the payroll feature through a web browser.

Thanks Bonny
I'll keep a lookout for the new version.
There was a second part to my question. I am not happy that, to access payroll in the browser, that there is a new requirement in QBO to enable (unblock) third-party cookies (for all sites). I consider that allowing third-party cookies threatens my security and privacy.
Even though I usually prefer to use the desktop app, there are some occasions when using browser access is more convenient.
Are Intuit and Keypay working to remove this requirement?
Regards
Steve

Hi Steve,
Thank you for providing us feedback about this. There are currently no plans to remove the third-party cookies requirement in the Employees tab. However I can suggest 2 workarounds that you can use:
- Access the Employees tab on Incognito mode in a browser. At the beginning of your session, unblock the third-party cookies, and when you're done, re-block them.
- Log into the YourPayroll website to access your Employees tab outside of QuickBooks: http://quickbooks.yourpayroll.com.au/. You may need to request a password reset to get a password and log in, however from here, you can access the entire Employees section without needing to log into QuickBooks and disabling third-party cookies.
Hope this helps!

To add to the above, ensure that in the Payroll Settings > Business Management > Manage Users screen, you have added your email address there as a Full Access User before requesting a password reset.

Is there ever going to be plans sort this out? There is a monthly subscription fee that we're paying. Shouldn't this go towards fixing up issues like this? Don't seem to be issues that last this long with other packages on the market..

Payroll access in the Windows 10 app has been working from about a month after I first posted (feb). The one remaining annoyance is that the cookie seems to time out (if the Employees tab is inactive) and the only workaround I’ve found is to close the App and start it again.
The unresolved issue, as far as I am aware, is the need to (globally) enable 3rd party cookies in whatever browser you use to access payroll, not in the app. I consider this an unacceptable requirement and security risk on my computer, but Intuit think differently.
