Thanks for joining us here, @JohnK6.
I have some information about your questions with QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac 2020.
The OS Monterey is not specifically stated as a supported operating system (OS) for QBDT for Mac 2020, which means that we haven't tested the software with the new OS yet. I suggest checking the support page from time to time to see the latest news about the compatibility requirements. Rest assured we'll update it once we get a confirmation that QBDT for Mac 2020 works with OS Monterey.
Please refer to this article to see further details: System requirements for QuickBooks for Mac 2020.
Also, release 13 (R13) - October 2021 is intended to update QuickBooks Desktop 2020 and Enterprise 20.0. To ensure you can perform any tasks efficiently in the program, I suggest clicking on Install Update from the QuickBooks Update window.
Here's how:
- From the QuickBooks▼ dropdown, go to Check for QuickBooks Updates.
- If a newer version is available, select Install Update.
- When prompted, click Install and Relaunch.
- When the update is complete, QuickBooks for Mac automatically open.
After running the update, restart your computer. See this guide for details: Update QuickBooks for Mac to the latest release.
I’m also adding a link to our self-help article: QBDT for Mac. It contains topics such as banking, taxes, payroll, account management, etc. to guide you along.
