Packing slip create

Hi,

Could someone tell me where to look or what to do?

There is a single item in my inventory that is sectional of 5 pieces (boxes). What I need, when I create invoice for the customer, I'd like to create a Packing slip for the warehouse. Customer may see it in invoice something like:

Living room sectional - $000.00

But I need to create a packing list for the warehouse with something like:

Living Room Sectional

1 x SKU 62452 Corner

1 x SKU 62500 Left recliner

1 x SKU 62550 Right Recliner

2 x SKU 00020 Armless Chair

My point is warehouse must know what to release to the customer, but customer doesn't need to know SKU's and number of boxes

Do I have to start another inventory or what?

You do not need to start a new inventory.

You will create an item group called "Living Room Sectional" which consists off 5 Boxes/SKUS. The customer will only see the sectional but your warehouse workers will see the 5 skus. QuickBooks Support Can help you set this up.

Example:

Item: Living Room Sectional

1 x SKU 62452 Corner

1 x SKU 62500 Left recliner

1 x SKU 62550 Right Recliner

2 x SKU 00020 Armless Chair
