Afaik, you are unable yet to sync them. You need a 3rd party migration tool.

Thanks for your comment but the situation is, currently my client uses Wave, but he is willing to use QBO instead if QBO can sync to Datev for Germany. Is there any way or tool to do that?

You can sync them after you have enrolled to QuickBooks Online, Jay_Odi.
I agree with the suggestion provided by Fiat Lux - ASIA, to use a third-party application. This is a tool that will help you synchronize your Datev and Quickbooks Online company.
To make sure the application is integrated to QuickBooks, you can check the tools available here at https://apps.intuit.com/app/apps/home.

Let me know if you need anything else. I'll be here to help. Take care.

Thanks for all your help! We decided it's best to move to QuickBooks Online, start it and then use a third party tool to help sync to Datev later. We are not yet sure which app to use, will give update later. Thanks!

Explore the 3rd party tool as I have mentioned earlier

Ensure your client to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 3 months. If you purchase from the trial account, you have to pay the regular price.

Hi Jay, I am also very interested in how that goes - starting up here in Germany using QBO so long as it works well enough for Germany needs. Best regards, James.

Hi Jay,
We are a small nonprofit organization in Germany and switched from Excel to Quickbooks Online in December. We are fairly happy with the functionality, BUT we are running into the same DATEV problem with our accountant. Were you successful by using a third party tool for exporting your transactions in a format that can be imported into DATEV? Can you share your experience?
Thank you, have a great day,
Sandra

We have the same problem,
so opening that case and see how it would be possible to migrate would be awesome.
Starts how exports and imports are structured:
the export datev - one column (debit / credit) and TransactionPro import - two columns ( plus / minus)

Dear Adrian_A,
Thank you for your reply. Please be so kind and provide us a link with information how to export/synch data to an external application. We have already migrated to Quickbooks, so this is not a problem.
If Ii understand correctly, we need to use a third-party app, as QBO and Intuit currently have no plans to support their European customers in Germany to comply with government regulations. Do you have a German app partner who offers this service?
Best regards,
Sandra

As we mentioned earlier, we have yet to find any connector to sync data between QBO and Datev. You may utilize an exporter tool to export data from QBO to XLS, or utilize an importer tool to import data from CSV/XLS to your QBO account.

Some of our clients have been using another accounting app. It has implemented the DATEV Export option in the app since 2 months ago if your company is registered in Germany.

Hello @Fiat Lux - ASIA
Can you please share the name of the accounting app that has implemented the DATEV export option for creating a P&L? My company is registered in Germany, and our accounting team uses DATEV for monthly BWA reporting. I am looking for a solution to create an accrual P&L on a monthly basis for management reporting.
Thanks a lot.
