The option to switch back to the old interface is no longer available. The primary update involves the appearance of QuickBooks Online, but its core workflows, accounting features, and your data remain the same.
While there's no option to switch back to the old layout, you can submit your comments or input to our product engineers. We value your experience, as it helps us identify areas that need improvement.
Here's how you can do it:
- Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
- Please provide your input in the designated box, and explain how the new layout affects you.
- Once done, submit it.

The new UI is seriously so bad. I also really hate it. I have no idea why Intuit is too stupid to listen to its customers, nobody likes this new UI. Its dogwater. I swear their motto is "lets make things worse for our customer base and charge ridiculous amounts of money to do so!"

I will agree with everyone else here. I'm not paying what I do each month for this to be all flashy and "New" looking. I need to go on there, get done what I need to and get back to running my business. This new layout is an atrocity.
It needs to be simple and fast, not flashy.

Do not give me a line of a more modern look. No one cares what it looks like, we only want to go in and take care of our accounting tasks and get it done efficiently so we can go back and run our business's. Please note that switching back to the old layout is no longer available. But I'll guide you on how quickly locate your recurring transactions. Here's how:
- Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
- Under the Lists column, select Recurring Transactions.
- Here you will see a list of all your recurring transaction templates.
- Go to Reports and search for the Recurring Template List report.
- Click Customize, then select to expand the Filter section.
- Select the Distribution Account checkbox. You can also choose specific accounts from the dropdown.
- Select Run report.

QBO, please stop trying to gaslight us. There is a difference between getting used to a new layout and navigating bad UI. The new interface is Apple Maps bad. Did small businesses and accounting professionals even test the new layout before it was launched? Accounting requires thoroughness and accuracy, and having to wade through pointless busy graphics is not helpful, it's a mind scrambling cluster cuss.
