Happened to me too a few years back and I paid it I think you should be okay. I did not notice any change to my books but they did keep threatening me, if I did not pay more I would lose access. Of course, I was not going to pay any more and nothing ever happened. Make sure to block the number. Please ask chat about remote access and it will provide some steps you can take to try and safeguard yourself. Wish Intuit would fix this problem.
