As of October 3, 2023, all versions of QuickBooks Point of Sale Desktop have officially been discontinued. It will no longer provide updates, patches (such as SR5), or technical support for the product.
While we recognize your concerns about transitioning to a new system, it may be beneficial to consider options that can support your business in the long term. Intuit has partnered with Shopify to offer QuickBooks POS users a seamless migration path to Shopify’s modern POS platform. Shopify offers enhanced features like inventory management, eCommerce integration, and seamless functionality.
