Sorry, I'm confused! You said below "You can run a report to see the updated information of the corrected 1099-NEC instead." Do you mean that this will line up the information instead of a template? When I ran a report as you outlined, it does not line up the information in a way that it can be printed directly onto the IRS form. It just shows a transaction report like any other transaction report in QB. I already have the information. I just need to be able to print it onto the IRS form.
I was told on another thread that I cannot correct an e-filed 1099 electronically. I was told I can only do so by ordering the forms from the IRS, printing with the updated information and mailing to the IRS. But how do I do this? I need to be able to line up the information so that it prints correctly on the form. If Quickbooks doesn't provide a template, can you refer me to a resource that will allow me to put the information into word or excel so that it will line up correctly on the form?
