QuickBooks Online > Custom form styles shows my logo on grey background, though it's white in Photoshop. Tried JPG/PNG. Is template color or file profile causing this?
Hi all, in QuickBooks Online, under **Settings (gear) → Custom form styles → Edit**, my logo appears with a **grey background** in the preview/header area. In **Adobe Photoshop** the logo background is pure white, and I exported it multiple times. **What I expected:** A white (#FFFFFF) background behind the logo. **What I see:** A light grey background behind/around the logo in the Custom Form Styles preview. **What I’ve tried so far:** * Exported from Photoshop as **JPG** and **PNG** (both with a white background) * Re-uploaded each format to **Custom form styles** * Same result in each case **Questions:** 1. Does QuickBooks apply a tint or template color behind the logo area in Custom Form Styles? 2. Is there a specific file spec (color profile, bit depth, transparency setting, size) required so the white stays white? 3. Could this be related to the chosen form **style** or **Design → Colour** setting rather than the image itself? 4. Any other steps to ensure QuickBooks renders the logo background as pure white? I can share a sample file and a screenshot if helpful. Thanks!

Other Questions
I appreciate the details you shared and your proactiveness in using a JPG or PNG image file format, anke1. I'll provide recommendations to ensure that the logo's background appears pure white in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
The file format could be the reason your logo’s background is displaying as gray. QuickBooks doesn't apply a tint or a template color behind the logo section in Custom Form Styles. Here's what you can do:
- The image file must be smaller than 10 MB24-bits or less
- If your logo is CMYK-formatted, convert it to an RGB image using tools such as Adobe Photoshop before uploading it to QuickBooks Online
