Invoice customization is lacking and outdated
Hi, I'm asking Quickbooks to give users the ability to customize more the invoices sent to the customers.
- Change logo size
- Remove company name when using your logo
- Remove all Quickbooks branding
- Custom HTML signature
- Custom fields
Quickbooks default emails makes us look unprofessional in front of our customers.
This needs to be updated.

Hello, Anonyme.
I appreciate sharing your ideas on how to improve the customization options for emailed invoices. I'll share some details with you regarding the current options, and help you ensure your feedback is sent to the appropriate department.
You can still change the logo size, remove the company name and use the custom fields. If you haven't done it yet, you would just need to edit your invoice template and make the changes.
To change the logo size:
- Click the Gear icon, then select Custom form styles.
- Find your template, then click on Edit.
- Go to the Design tab, then expand the Make logo edits section.
- Set it to small, medium or large.
- Select your preferred placement.
- Click Save.
To remove the company name:
- Go to the Content tab.
- On the preview image, click the first section.
- Uncheck the Business name box.
- Hit Save.
To use custom fields:
- Go to the Gear icon menu again.
- Select Custom fields.
- Click the Add custom field or Add field button.
- Set a name for the custom field.
- Check the All Sales forms box, and if necessary, toggle the Print on form option to On.
- Once done, click Save.
Your custom field will show up on your sales forms. If you toggled the Print on form option, your customer will see it. Otherwise, they will only appear when you create a transaction.
If the current options don't quite fit with your needs, I would recommend sending feedback directly to our developers.
You can submit your ideas on how you want to change the logo size, the option to remove QuickBooks branding, add an HTML signature and more custom fields.

Well it seems there's a way to change the email template as I'm coming from my friend's house who recommended me Quickbooks Online and it's whats he's using. I told him if he was annoyed by the email template and he told me that it wasn't a problem for him. He showed it to me and his template is awesome. How do I switch to this template?

I answered this thread in the Singapore Community. You can see the flag in the top right corner of your screen to be sure. If you post in a community from the Help menu in your QBO account, it will route to the specific community your version belongs to.
Where is your company located? You have to make sure you are using the correct version.

Thanks for joining this thread, @JWM57. Let me provide some insights about custom form options.
Custom form styles are available for any QuickBooks Online versions. With different sample designs, you can import and then add your company info (such as the company logo) to highlight your brand. This feature helps reflect your brand identity into your sales forms with less effort and time.
You can design and import your custom form style in QuickBooks. To learn more about this, please check out this resource: Import custom form styles for invoices or estimates. It contains steps to map your template fields and fix errors when uploading them.
If you're using Quicken, I suggest going to their Community page or contacting their support for further guidance.
Moreover, let me share these relevant articles you can utilize in the future to manage your invoices and other sales forms:

This is just such a basic feature of an accounting program. The invoicing logic and templates are soooo bad. Why can't your product team focus on this instead of adding more money-making features for the company? I only use QB because my accountant forces me to. Wish it was better...
