Greetings! @SuzanaCS. We are thrilled to have you join our Community space. I'll ensure to provide information regarding your e-invoicing concern in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
As of the information available, QuickBooks Online (QBO) does not have an e-invoicing feature specifically for Malaysia. However, QBO users in Malaysia can consider using third-party solutions to integrate with the Malaysian e-invoicing portal.
On the other hand, QBO supports thousands of third-party applications for all functional needs, including invoicing apps. Visit the Intuit App Center and enter a keyword in the search bar to explore the options.
Here's how:
- On the left panel, click Apps.
- Go to the Find Apps tab.
- Use the search bar to look for an app.
In addition, you can wait until the end of December 2024 before considering your options. While waiting for updates, QBO users can review the link on managing invoices in QBO: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online.
I'm also adding these links for future reference in managing progress invoices and payments in QuickBooks:
- Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online
- Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online
- Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we implement this new feature. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible experience in the future. If you require further assistance with managing your invoices, please tag my name in the comment section. Have a great day ahead!

We're unable to provide the specific application for e-invoicing, Catherine. Let me show you how to look for one instead for seamless invoice processing.
Several applications can be linked with QuickBooks Online to make your business process more efficient. Here's how to find one within the product:
- Log in to your QuickBooks Online company.
- Select Apps from the left pane and head to the Find apps page.
- Enter a keyword from the Search field.
After that, proceed to the following for the downloading and integration process:
- Select the app of your choice.
- Click on Get App Now. The button will display Opt-in Now if it's in beta testing and Learn More if it requires you to connect the app from within their system.
- Ensure to authorize the app to connect to your QBO.
- Observe the remaining instructions carefully to link and set up the app settings.
Alternatively, you can visit this link to explore other options: QuickBooks App Store | Online Tools to Power Your Business.
On the other hand, we currently don't have updates regarding the direct implementations of the e-invoicing feature in QuickBooks. Hence, I recommend sending feedback to our product engineers. They might incorporate your suggestions when working with future product updates, considering their benefits in enhancing customer experience.
Moreover, consider scanning these materials to show your customer their outstanding balances and for guidance on recording their payments manually:

One of QBO's competitors plans to support eInvoicing in Malaysia by the third mandate for small/medium businesses in July 2025. I'm not sure Intuit will release QBO Malaysia version to comply. We'll have to wait until Q1-2025 to find a third-party PEPPOL solution to integrate with QBO. For now, you have to work manually. My clients are considering purchasing a third-party service to convert their data next year.

Ensuring compliance with LDhn's e-invoicing requirements is a crucial step, and I appreciate you reaching out about this, @LSW Acct.
Firstly, please know that we don't specifically recommend what type of app to use. However, you can browse our QuickBooks App Store for third-party applications that integrate seamlessly with your QuickBooks account.
Although we can't specify a particular app for LHDN's requirements, here's how you can find the right tools:
- Visit our QuickBooks App Store.
- Search for e-invoicing or similar keywords to find apps relevant to your needs.
- Review the app details, user ratings, and feedback to help make an informed decision.
- Contact the app provider for detailed information on their features and compatibility with LHDN's standards.
Once you find an app that suits your needs, test it with a sample invoice to ensure it aligns with LHDN's e-invoicing standard. You can also review their compliance documentation to double-check accuracy.
Additionally, you might want to check out these articles to learn how to manage your invoices:

We have been using QBO in Malaysia for more than 7 years and we are extremely happy with it.
Surprisingly and oddly that such a systematic and structured Accounting software provider doesn’t even have E-Invoicing integration in its roadmap for Malaysia corporate clients.
Perhaps Malaysia market is too small for QBO.
After patiently waiting since last year, we have no choice but to switch to another Accounting provider that has E-Invoicing ready with Malaysia IRB. What a shame!
P/S relying on third party apps for e-invoicing is not ideal for us as we don’t want to deal with third party providers if there’s any issue. QBO should have its own integration done and certified by Malaysia IRB or MDEC.

Which 3rd party conversion software it is and what’s the cost? I’m moving away from Quickbook’s as well as I’m ready disappointed with them without puting LHDN e-invoice in its roadmap. I’m switching to local accounting software Bukku, which already well established e-invoice ready.

Totally agreed! Middleware is not a feasible solution, it’s way too expensive for a small company, shame on Quickbooks suggesting this solution to us! in fact, switching over to another software could be more cost efficient to small company like most of us.
