Can I attach a copy of a credit card bill into my quickbooks on the line where I wrote a check to make the payment?

I've written a check for a credit card payment.  Can I copy the credit card bill and put it into that line item so it's available to view should I ever need to go back to it?

Let me show you how to attach a file when creating a cheque, ginger22102

Yes, you can add an attachment to your cheques in QuickBooks Online. You have this option from the bottom left when creating it. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Create/Plus icon (+) at the top and select Cheque.
  2. After adding all the necessary information for this, scroll down to the button to add your attachment.
  3. Click the Attachments box, to add the file.
  4. Tap on Save and Close button once you're done.

For more information about the file types that you can attach, check this article: Attachments in QuickBooks Online

You can also add some information about this credit card bill on the Description column from the Item details section. See this article for detailed guidance on how to write cheques

OMG - thank you so much.  This is fabulous.  I'm assuming I will need to scan the document and then select it and import it -- but I can likely figure that part out.  I just was not aware of that capability.

OK - one more thing:  now that I've put an attachment with my check that I wrote - when I now look at my register, there's nothing to indicate there's an attachment anywhere on that transaction.  Am I just missing something?

You might not able to set Attachments as visible. While you're on that page, click the Gear icon. Then, click on the box beside Attachments. I'll be adding a screenshot on the original post for your reference, @ginger22102.
