You encounter that error message when you don't have access to a specific area in QuickBooks Online. Your Master or Company admin can help you change the access level. 

Or, you can also provide these steps to change your user access:

1. Click the Gear icon.
2. Go to Manage Users.
3. Find the user you want to change, then click Edit.
4. Click the User type drop-down arrow, then select the user type.
5. Click Save.
