i want to split an expense and assign a $ amont to each split

 Yes, you can assign a $ amount when splitting an expense in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I can guide you on how.

 

If you're working with your downloaded expense, go to the Banking page, then follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click on Banking on the left pane, then go to the Banking page.
  3. Look for the transaction, then select Split.
  4. Fill in the details under the Split transaction window, then add the amount under the Amount column.
  5. Tap on Apply and accept.
