I am also having this problem. My VAT is all set up. And i have tried to edit the custom form styles and it shows it as XXXXX it then says I have to edit it In VAT Centre.
This is pretty basic and should be easy QuickBooks. But can see other people having same issues, and so i have illegal invoices going out to clients without VAT numbers on!! Why doesn't it pull it in properly.
My accountant told me he had set up my invoice in QB, but doesn't look like he added the VAT section on, so pretty annoyed.
