First, we need to make sure that you sign up through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/za/. This is the official Intuit website for South Africa.

Next, check if the number is in the correct format. You'll want to include South Africa's dialing code, +27, followed by the phone number.

If the same thing happens, use an incognito window and sign up from there.

• Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
• Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
• Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Also, please clear the cache to fix browser-related issues. Lastly, check if the browser is up-to-date.

I am in Qatar. My Qatari format is not accepted either. They only accept European/North American phone formats! So weird.

Hey QuickBooks, there are other countries in the world besides the US, Canada and European countries, and they might have a different format. Why even to set the restriction on the phone format?? Just remove the restrictions!!

What do you consider a "Correct format"? In different countries "correct format" can be different.

In Qatar it's +974 XXXX-XXXX. Is that "correct" enough? Or you are trying to fit everyone to the US format?  

AlexV, it is not about clearing cache. When I enter my US phone number, it works perfectly. Just remove the restrictions on the phone format!

Let me help you in adding your phone number to QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks Online allows you to add not only US phone numbers but also international ones. There's no restriction in adding it, you'll just need to make sure to select the right country. 

Refer to the screenshot below. When you select Qatar on the drop-down, the country calling code will appear automatically. Then, simply add the rest of your phone number.

If you are still unable to save it, I suggest you seek further help from our Support Team so they can further investigate it.

1. Click the (?) Help icon and enter Talk to a human (then type it again when prompted).
2. When asked by the bot, enter "Phone Number".
3. Select I still need a human, then proceed with Contact us or Get help from a human.
4. Tap Start a chat.
