How do I use my purchase order template on the App? It only allows me to create an invoice without any ability to create other templates such as the purchase order.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, Steve!
QuickBooks has options to import or create templates for invoices and quotes. So far, these are the only transactions that have these options.
I think it’s a great idea to be able to put our style on purchase orders. I’m sharing this with our product engineers to make them aware that we like this option.
If you want to ask other things, give us a short reply below.

Hi Steve, thanks for getting back to this thread.
There's no option to create an invoice template using the mobile browser. You can access QuickBooks through a computer's browser instead to create it.
Here are the supported browsers in QuickBooks:
- Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Internet Explorer
- For the Safari and make sure you're using the latest version.
Using another template for the purchase order will not record the details of your vendor. This is because it's still a sales template even if the title is modified to Purchase Order.
I'm going to send this feedback to our product engineers and they might consider adding the option to create other templates especially for the purchase order where the vendor's details will be recorded on the template.
Let me know if you have additional questions or suggestions with QuickBooks.

Sorry I am not sure what you mean by ‘Creating another invoice template is intended for customers only’ I am a customer. I’m also not sure what the relevance or meaning is of recording the vendors details? In plain English I just want to change the title to purchase order on an individual basis just like I do with regular invoicing. Of course I can do this on a desktop, I do it several times a day.

I'd like to provide further clarification, Steve.
A purchase order is a vendor transaction. Though you've changed the invoice template's title into a Purchase Order, it'll still remain as an invoice. Thus, it'll show up in your sales transaction.
Yes, you can change the invoice title to a purchase order. You'll need to do this in MS Word and then import it into QuickBooks.
Every time you create an invoice and use the template, you can click Customise at the bottom. However, there's no option to do it in the mobile app. This is actually a good feature suggestion that I can send to our engineers.
Let us know if there's anything else that I can help you with. We got you covered!

Have now discovered the Billdu App! It allows for invoice, purchase orders order and other templates. I don’t understand why QuickBooks finds it so incredibly difficult to make are useful app. I know where I’ll be taking my business.

Two years on it would seem.
Are we now able to send Purchase Orders from the QB app?
I don’t seem to be able to and only have access to phones and tablets for another few weeks.
Cheers. :-)

Thanks for following up about sending purchase orders through QBO mobile app.
At the moment, this feature is still unavailable. You'll want to consider using a third-party application that's compatible with QuickBooks to do so.
You can visit our QuickBooks Apps website and search for one through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home.
In the meantime, you may log in to your QuickBooks company through a browser from your phone or tablet to send your purchase order.

I’m trying to send a PO from my phone using the app as well. Why is this function not available in QBO mobile?

Hi Wondering in Wichita,
Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. At the moment, sending the purchase order in the mobile app is currently unavailable.
I understand the need for having this feature in QBO and this is a great idea to add in the program, so I'm personally taking note of this suggestion and send it to our developers. This helps them in deciding on what features might be added in their future product updates.
Furthermore, you can login on your mobile web browser to create and send your purchase order.

I'd be here to get back and help if you have any other questions. Have a nice day!
